“Why limit yourself to other people’s playstyles?”
I would agree, but unfortunately a lot of players just really want to play competitively, and want honest answers from experienced players. There aren’t too many, but there certainly are models which are measurably better than others, especially contextually by factions or sectorial. A recent example would be Knauf in PanO (compared to Nisse, Bagh-Mari) versus Knauf in Ariadna (hells yes), or Crane in new ISS versus Crane in vanilla.
But otherwise I agree. I think a lot of people get far too tunnel-visioned about making “best” or “optimized” lists. Most of my favorite Infinity lists were quite silly, by competitive standards.
